Militarium is a break from the Chess-based RTS norm by focusing on map positioning and map control (like Go) as opposed to unit positioning and unit match ups (like Chess). By eliminating individual units, we have created a strategy game that is perfectly suited for play on tablet devices, specifically the Microsoft Surface. It is Militarium’s simplicity that enables it to excel on a platform where RTSs have typically been unsuccessful.
My contributions towards Militarium are that of product owner, designer, and engine programmer. This project served as my undergraduate senior thesis.
